| RE: The Official Fuel Economy report thread I now consistently get 24-26MPG (sorry no mile #'s) because:
1. At night I don't want to floor it as much unless somebody is tailgating me (smoke) so I gently tap the pedal.
2. Pouring in bottles of veggie oil (unused) does make the engine run quieter and produces less smoke. No noticeable drop in power, however (it's only a bottle of veggie oil).
After the valve adjustment I hope to get high 20's. Am I expecting too much? By the way, the above figures (24-26MPG) are mixed city/highway. The throttle linkage adjustment saved me 2MPG! Calculating cost per mile came down to $0.10/mi with $2.53/gal with 25MPG as an example.
Cheers![:)] |
