For every complaint you have against Saddam Hussein (and a couple of them even have merit), anyone can offer a dozen about U.S. imperialism over the last several decades. Including murder, mayhem, invasions, endless bombing, etc etc against countries too numerous to mention. At this point, it might be easier to list the countries the U.S. hasn't bombed.
Saddam wasn't even a threat to Israel by the time the U.S. invaded. Meanwhile, the Bush Administration suppressed evidence about North Korea, which actually has WMDs, the means of delivering them, and has made repeated direct threats against the U.S.

Was that a counter argument?
Every point I laid out had "merit".
Saddam was a menace to Iraq, the Middle East and the world at large.
Try reading the Deulfer Report and tell me how benign the Baathists were. For that matter read the Voelker Report too.
Sheez. Does the fact that the US and UK had to maintain two no fly zones to protect the majority of the Iraqi populace from Baathist brutality blow right by you? Can you say "Marsh Arabs"?
Are you one of those simpletons that always villify US foreign policy? Or just US foreign policy during republican administrations?
