| RE: 1970-1971 280se 3.5 Had the same thing happen to me!,one block from here is Burgundy (1971 build) W111 280SE 3.5 ,With new paint and skinny white walls it looks the dogs nuts, but anything you care to mention that can go wrong with a car...well this sad device has it all, from 3/4" hood gaps to rusty bumper brackets (!!!) The front crossmember bushes had sagged so badly that the engine has a 1/2" nut under the alloy mount arm to space it up and prevent the engine from riding on the steering box._It's all nice and clean underneath though...[:D][:D]The wood has been trashed by our sun and the leather was shot with no attempt at using any propietry product to clean it.When i asked the dealer to open the hood,he had to use a pair of vice grips to pull on the cable....and with all this ,they are asking...... $25,000.[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] |
