Okay, this is the definitive answer to the location of the sensor. After taking apart the better part of the dash, glovebox, footwell covers, etc, I have before you the photos illustrating the location of the sensor.


To get to the sensor, the driver's side footwell cover must be removed. I suggest unscrewing the single screw holding the hood release mechanism. Do not remove the two screws holding the ODBII port. The plug is removed from the backside by sliding the receptacle lock to the side. Photo shown below.

The second photo shows the location of the 2 wire evaporative temperature sensor. Measuring from the front of the dash at the radio, it is located about 12 inches towards the front of the car.



While I was taking things apart, I also located the heater core temperature sensor. It is just behind the dash climate control unit. It pulls out, with difficulty.
