| Help, my lovely SLK is in trouble... ASR light is on and engine is "bumping"....
[:(]need your help! yesterday when I started my car, i felt it accerelated quite abnormally fast when I push to "D" level. Then everything and I drove ~20km to teh nearly shopping mall. When I finished shopping (about 1 hour) and I could't turn on the engine!!! apparently the battery is dead. I couldn't restart the car using the "Start-me-up" spare battery so I called my dealer to help me to restarted the car.
Now the problem is even I managed to turn on teh engine, the car go very fast by itself and the "ASR" light is on by itself. The even worse thing is when I shifted to "N" or "P" position, the engine is "shaking" (very unstable!!) strangely. Anyway now the dealer first told me the oil filter is very dirty (what the fuxk, I paid them to maintain it every 3 months!!)... ok, I approved them to change it and the battery, and they said now they found out that it is the "Butterfly-flip (?)" casuing the problem and it cost at least 2,000 to get a new one...[V][V]
[?]Can anyone tell me whether this is true or is there any other alternative way to save some $$$?? |
