| Bad vibrations in reverse... any ideas?
Starting yesterday I noticed that when I put my SLK in reverse ('98 230 with auto) the whole car shakes. I am not talking about a small vibration, I mean the car shakes like it is going to fall apart. In drive, it feels fine. This occurs with the car sitting still or moving backwards, anytime the transmission is on "R". Neurtal is also OK.
Anyone else have this problem or hsve any ideas what might cause it? I am going to take it to the dealer as soon as I can (of course this happens on labor day weekend...) but I was curious if anyone else had this happen. I have stopped driving it since it happened, because I am nervous that it is going to get worse.
