Car is a 62 220seb convertible.

I pulled the intake manifold off today and am confused by the injectors. The injectors going to cylinders 1,2 and 5,6 point toward the engine (you can see the tips right at the end of the manifold). However, the injectors for cylinders 3,4 are pointing away from the engine. This doesn't make sense to me.

None of my books go into detail about installing the injectors.

Can anyone give me some insight?
