Ron, if everything is latched properly but the switch is still lit, then one of the microswitches isn't signaling the controller. To determine which one:
1. Try pushing down on the top at each latch with your body weight and see if the light goes out.
2. Check diagnostic codes as explained here:
http://www.mbnz.org/forums/forums/th...sp?tid=1168365. In your case, I think I would erase all the codes you find, operate the top, read any freshly-stored codes, and then reply back.
