| RE: Thanks for the paste tip. Boy that looks like fun...
Back in 1986 I took european delivery of a 944 turbo and had an awesome time in Europe on the Autobahns. You know for the first 1000 miles you are not to exceed 5000 rpm, so after leaving the factory we immediately went out on the Autobahn...5000 rpm translates to 130 mph !!! Absolutely amazing !!
Anyway, after returning to Atlanta, I had to wait for three weeks for my Porsche to make it back to Charleston, S.C. via a very slow boat...talk about torture !! I was driving a 75 CJ5 to/from work till my ship came in. Brumos Porsche offered a driving school with purchase, so one weekend we headed down to Roebling Road Speedway in Savannah....So cool !!
Hurley Haywood actually drove my car a couple of laps with me grinning ear-to-ear !! These cars are amazing, particularly in the right hands !!
If my lottery ticket hits....my next car will be the Porsche Cayman due out in 2006 !! Till then my ML will have to suffice.....I envy you with the Boxster!! |
