I try to drain the battery completely and then charge completely to retain the battery life, but I'm no techie, don't know if it makes a difference.
| This is the most stressful use-model on a Lithium-Ion battery. Only with Nickel-based batteries should you completely discharge before recharging.
With Lithium-Ion you should recharge anytime it has had some discharge. If stored over a long period of time, it should be left connected to a charger. If a Lithium-Ion battery completely discharges (which it does over time) for an extended period, it will no longer hold a charge. With that all said, about once a month it is good to completely discharge then completely charge the battery in one cycle.
I've learned the most about battery life from reading various manufactuer's laptop instruction manuals.

Thanks for the advice. I used to be uncomfortable if I had to charge my ipod before it was fully drained, now I'll just keep it charged. [:)]
