Change it every two years regardless of mileage. It absorbs moisture just sitting there. If you let mooisture laden fluid marinate, then you'll be changing master cylinders, ABS controllers and/or boosters because of rust. It's a whole lot cheaper to do the brake fluid every two years. Use the recommended fluid, probably a DOT4 like Castrol LMA or Havoline Synthetic. Do not use DOT5.
