What's really weird to me is that there seems to be no real effort being made to either confirm or deny these allegations by the US Gov't.
Surprisingly, all effort seems to be to go on the offensive against the "liberal media".

I really don't see where Newsweek went wrong. They got a story, tried to get it confirmed, and ran up against a brick wall. If there's any fault, it's with the gov't for not addressing the question when it was asked.

Nothing from Rummy, Rice, or any of the other men in the current adminstration surprises me any more.
