i saw that carb. on eBay too ...
i cant see why anyone would change one carb. for another ...
the carburator has faults by design, such as the
compromise of fuel delivery ..
the EFI are 10 times better than any carb. (if you doesnt count
in the electronics needed, for those of you who like simple "non-electronic" things) ..
when i have the time and money i will equip my Unimog
with MegaSquirt (
http://www.msefi.com), a DIY EFI which is simple to build,
and easy to map ... i dont know if there are any Mercedes
engines from that time that had EFI, i just know of the
mecanical injection, so i guess i´ll have to build
a new intake manifold, with bosses for the injectors,
but the extra work is definetly worth it!
