"Must meet maintenance requirements" means complying with Service A & Service B intervals that the car reminds you about electronically. 1st A is at about 13k miles, service B is about 26k miles. You are permitted to do maintenance yourself, like changing oil and other incidentals.

AMG owners pay a little more, $3410 for 3 extra years.

MB just wants to be sure you don't trash the car and expect them to pay for it. Anyone only planning to keep the car for 4 years or less should NOT get an extended warranty.
