RE: Does anyone use an IPOD MP3 PLAYER ON THE ML AND HOW CAN YOU CONNECT THE IPOD TO THE CAR STEREO

I started out trying many variants of the iTrip as mentioned above. All of the FM transmitters were totally usless to me. I live in a large city with many radio stations, it was just too noisey for me. Also, the antenna in the ML is in the rear window and that puts it fairly far from the transmitter up front. A hard wired FM modulator is the best bet if your looking to have all the wires hidden and keep the OEM radio.

Tape adaptors work well. I used one for a while. Stick with a brand name one. Look at the pics in my profile to see waht that looked like.

I finally replaced the original head unit with an aftermarket one. The sound quality through the line input is very good. It was not hard to replace the radio, I used the wiring diagrams provided by the good people of this forum.

Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.
