| RE: oil pressure problem
Just stay on a normal oil change interval and live with the oil pressure guage. Mine does the same thing. Posibly changing the oil pressure sensor might improve the level on the dash guage, maybe not. I bought my car with 66,000 miles on it and the guage would drop just below 3. Now at 153,000 miles it will drop to 1.5 after a long trip. I,m sure if these cars had a throttle plate adjustment so you could increase the idle 1-200 rpm's, the oil pressure would increase too. My car idles low when in drive and when I put it in neutral the oil pressure rises with the rpm,s...seems normal to me. |
