| RE: CENTRAL LOCKING PUMP & CLOSING ASSIST PUMP INSTALL The only issue I have heard (other than buying someones defective pump) is that the newer replacement locking pump (under seat) is that you might need a fiting kit fot the hoses since the new one does not have the plate. The older one had a port for the back up rods also. To have both go bad is unusual, the culprit is usually the "close assist" the "locking, lumbar etc". does not fail that often.
