If I was at the pearly gates when this gentleman showed up, I'd be asking some tough questions. Why didn't he do it when he was younger? Why didn't he give a portion of his money to the church? Were you too old to do much else with your life anyway? Are you trying to earn some extra moral credit?

As it is, though, it doesn't bother me one bit if he led a less than moral life beforehand. I doubt he did, and I assume he gave a lot to the church and charitable organizations-- as do many of us who aren't rich. Isn't it a good thing if someone turns their life around to a more moral one? The important thing is the person that he is now.
