I was in Arizona this last week, and quite amazed by how few benzes I saw in and around Phoenix & Tucson. Certainly less than 10 - and the only e-class I was able to examine did indeed have old style 'golf tee' lock pins. Just goes to show how crazy a lot of the car regulations can be; in the UK, we have given up on golf tee pins after a spate of thefts done by manouevring a loop of packing tape through the window seal, hooking the lock pin with it and relying on the 'golf tee' part to give enough traction to open the door.
