OVP = Over Voltage Protection relay
The OVP is a very common culprit to many problems on the earlier W124s. Bad idle, bad running, electrical glitches, etc...
It is located past the battery behind a plastic panel that can be removed. It is a silver coloured rectangular object that has a red North American style fuse in it.
