Worst case? Find another tire shop and have them dismount the wheels, and have the wheels powder coated. Be sure to ask them to document the original location of each tire, and
OK so you'll have your car on blocks or jack stands for a week; I just did this for one of my cars, and the powder coating is so thick that it filled in the curb rash, and misc. scratches - plus I updated the look of the car by changing the color. I love the new look!!!!
The wheels on my SLK were abused by the prior owner - I'm waiting for weather not as great as it is now, and deciding on a new color. |
