The latch system is available on many seats (brands).
Make sure you get that, 02+ MLs (maybe earlier models too, I don't know) are ready for it, it's easy and really secure!

TCP: when was the last time you had to buy a child seat?
Over here, nearlt all stores have only one model that uses the ISOFIX latches. And I can know: an ISOFIX babyseat was an absolute requirement for me, and I did not find one shop where they had more than one ISOFIX model in their lineup.
Even with the limited choice, I have nothing but good things to say about my seat [:)]
