RE: Kerry's Speech
This discussion is far too civil. I can't wait for it to melt down into partisan namecalling. However, on the topic of the post, I have not seen or heard the speech in its entirity. It was an attempt to appear centrist and I agree that Bush will do the same.
There is nothing to be gained by preaching to the converted at the risk of alienating the undecided. The only twist for Kerry is the Nader factor. If Kerry appears too centrist then Ralph will rear his ugly head and start wooing the far left .
Probably nothing that Kerry could say would entice MikeV to vote Democrat.
For me, the only thing that Bush could say to get me to vote Republican is "I quit and John McCain is the new candidate"
