Thanks for the instructions on the systems reset. I completed that and 7! Crapped out... the CD player has the same error messages. I will try a "can o air" and a commercial cleaner but I am thinking they will not help. rats.

ugh, what a drag. anyone have a rough idea on how much to replace the CD drive? it is almost comical to me really.
