| Hot stuff I run a '92 320TE. Head done. New core in the radiator. 'nuff said. Normally it runs in the high 80's low 90's (a tad warmer than my old 230TE but not much). But when I started towing with it the temp went North of 100 and showed no inclination to come below even in what passes for summer in the North of England.
Worried? You betcha. Checked out everything. All OK. Eventually spoke to Mercedes Benz UK. Now they were cool.
No problem, says the man on the phone. 110/115? Don't worry, the fan's only just kicking in on your model (complete with air con rad blocking the air flow through, but I digress)In fact don't worry even if it hits 120.
The man assures me it's built to take it. Question is, is my nervous system. I don't think that's pressurised to 130.
Anyone else had this fun?
Apart from that the car's a joy. Biggest problem is with the right foot! |
