I'm still working on getting my system fully functional. Need some air line connectors. Who knows how many years the system in my car has been non-functional.
To split hairs, I found that the actual closing action is mediated by positive pressure (not vacuum). I suppose vacuum sounds right because the doors and trunk appear to "suck" shut. :) But, it's air pressure from the pump that actuates pistons that exert the mechanical force.
