| RE: 300 TE knowledge please I'm looking to jazz up my 1993 300TE as well, and finally decided to get going after seeing a 1988 AMG 300TE in the Star Magazine (Spet/Oct 2003). You can also find photos of this beast at:

In any case, I too will move to the monoblock (probably replicas), but I'm going to go with the 16" rims rather than the 17". I could be wrong, but unless you make some suspension adjustments; going from the stock 15" to 17" wheels might make for a much rougher ride. I would also add that I think the Falken 512 tire as a better match for the 300TE series of this vintage than the OEM Michelin MXV 4. They are as quient and handle much better, especially on snow. I will admit I haven't tried them on the 16" wheels yet.
