There is a special tool to crimp the metal ring on the boot. Not too many people have this tool except for dealers and axle rebuilders. The axles boots have oil in them. Unless they are ripped and leaking, leave well enough alone. These axles are not under the kind of stress front wheel drive axles are. For the most part, they run straight all the time. The most extreme angle they experience is when u jack it up........ |
