liquid/air and air/air. Of course, I've also seen magazines say the SLK has rack&pinion steering, too.<br>

I checked the "Everything about the Mercedes-Benz SLK" book and it doesn't say, but it looks like air-to-air from what you can see on the car. There is the funny thing with the fuel lines running through a small block that also has the A/C refrigerant lines going into it, so the fuel must be cooled when the A/C is running.
