My mother-in-law had a '97 E290 Turbodiesel with a 5-speed, then a '99 E220 CDI with a 6-speed.<br> <br> I think the largest engine you can currently get with the manual transmission is the 270 CDI. This engine has 175hp and 313lb-ft. Not bad for a 5-cylinder diesel.
