A chamois is not acceptable to dry your car except for the glass. Unlike microfiber or terry towels, a chamois cannot trap and hold abrasive particles between fibers. Any particles between a chamois and the paint will be dragged across the paint causing scratches.
Thats the same argument you can have everyday over the Use Of The California Water Blade. If you wash your car to 100% clean then technically, there shouldnt be any abrasive particles to drag across the paint.
But nonetheless, Im with Lynn, I want the safest device available for use on my car. Im just not interested in taking chances! No chamois' or CWB's for me!
