I put a deposit on an R171 SLK3?? in February 2001.
Called the dealer today to get the salesman's best
estimate of delivery schedule.

I was told (but not promised) that the 2004 model
year for the R170 may be as short as six months.
The 2005 R171 may be available as early as
March 2004. I did not ask about the schedule
for the AMG R171.

Details for the order (color and options) will
be accepted around September 2003.

I am working with a dealer in Columbus, OH since
the Cleveland dealers wanted way too much for
a deposit.

I am hoping that this information is close to
being true.
